Six slots, dual management, redundant everything: the FG-7060E is the chassis for the biggest 7000E builds. This 8 RU unit carries two FIM slots and up to four FPM slots on an 80 Gbps fabric backplane, and unlike the 6 RU chassis it ships with two redundant system management modules plus four AC power supplies in a 3+1 arrangement (expandable to six PSUs for 3+3). Three hot-swappable fan trays handle cooling. As with every 7000-series chassis, the FIM and FPM modules are ordered separately.

The 7060E is built for full-scale service-provider and large-enterprise cores: four FPM processing modules behind two FIM interface modules, with no single point of management or power. It is the right chassis when you expect to grow into more FPM capacity, and the right spare when an in-service 7060E enclosure itself needs replacing.
Accepts FortiGate 7000E-series FIMs in slots 1-2 and FPMs in slots 3-6. Chassis-specific FRUs: FG-7060E-FAN fan tray and FG-7060E-PS-AC power supply (this chassis does not share the 7040E fan or PSU parts). A DC-plant version exists as the FG-7060E-DC.
