Fortinet Gigabit PoE Injector, 802.3at 30W Single-Port (GPI-130)

The GPI-130 is Fortinet’s mid-tier Gigabit PoE injector: a single-port, mid-span unit that adds IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) power – up to 30 watts – onto a Gigabit Ethernet run so an 802.3at-class FortiAP can be powered where the switch does not supply PoE. Like the rest of the GPI line it powers only PoE-capable devices, so it is safe to insert on a link shared with non-PoE gear. It sits between the GPI-115 (802.3af, 15.4W) and the GPI-145 (802.3bt, 60W).

Where this injector fits

Use the GPI-130 to power a single 802.3at (PoE+) FortiAP over the data cable when the nearby switch has no PoE+ port. It is the 30W tier – the right pick for most current dual-radio indoor FortiAPs. Drop to the GPI-115 for 15.4W 802.3af models, or step up to the GPI-145 for 60W 802.3bt access points.

Compatibility

Powers Fortinet FortiAP access points that accept IEEE 802.3at PoE, at up to 30 W. For lower draw the GPI-115 supplies 802.3af (15.4 W); for high-power APs the GPI-145 supplies 802.3bt (60 W). All three are single-port, mid-span injectors that pass power only to PoE-capable devices.
