End-of-life 2U data-center next-generation firewall built on Fortinet's NP6 network processors and CP8 content processor, with 72 Gbps firewall throughput, 11 million concurrent sessions and high-density GE / 10 GE connectivity (4x 10 GE SFP+, 16x GE SFP and 16x GE RJ45). The FortiGate 1200D hardware is no longer sold — FortiGuard and FortiCare renewals are still available below, and the FortiGate 1800F is the direct, currently-shipping replacement.

The FortiGate 1800F is the direct, currently-shipping replacement with about 2.7x the firewall throughput; the FortiGate 900G is the current G-generation option with the highest threat protection in this range. The 1200D has 4x 10 GE SFP+ slots, 16x GE SFP slots and 16x GE RJ45 ports. Use Fortinet FN-TRAN-SFP+SR / SFP+LR modules for 10 GE fiber, and FN-TRAN-SX / LX / GC for 1 GE fiber or copper. No transceivers are included in the box.
