End-of-life 2U data-center next-generation firewall built on Fortinet's NP6 network processors and CP8 content processor, with 80 Gbps firewall throughput, 12 million concurrent sessions and high-density GE / 10 GE connectivity (8x 10 GE SFP+, 16x GE SFP and 16x GE RJ45). The FortiGate 1500D hardware is no longer sold — FortiGuard and FortiCare renewals are still available below, and the FortiGate 1800F is the direct, currently-shipping replacement.

It is a 2U appliance with 8x 10 GE SFP+, 16x GE SFP and 16x GE RJ45 interfaces and dual 240 GB SSDs.
The 1500D has 8x 10 GE SFP+ slots, 16x GE SFP slots and 16x GE RJ45 ports, and ships with two 10 GE SFP+ SR modules. Use Fortinet FN-TRAN-SFP+SR / SFP+LR for additional 10 GE fiber, and FN-TRAN-SX / LX for 1 GE fiber.
