End-of-life compact desktop next-generation firewall built on Fortinet's SoC3 security processor, with 3 Gbps firewall throughput, 1.3 million concurrent sessions and seven GE RJ45 internal ports plus dual WAN in a fanless form factor for small offices and branches. The FortiGate 60E hardware is end of order — FortiGuard and FortiCare renewals are still available below, and the FortiGate 70G is the current, currently-shipping replacement.
The FortiGate 60E is end of life. The FortiGate 70G is the direct, currently-shipping replacement with a full-generation jump in firewall throughput, threat protection and secure SD-WAN; the FortiGate 90G steps up further with 28 Gbps firewall throughput and 3 M sessions. Same FortiOS and FortiGuard services across the range.

The FortiGate 60E and 61E share the same SoC3 platform and 3 Gbps firewall performance. The 61E adds onboard SSD storage for local logging; the 60E has no onboard storage. Port layout is otherwise the same dual-WAN, seven-internal-port copper design.
