The FG-200G ships as a 1RU rack-mount appliance with FortiOS pre-installed, rack ears included, and dual AC power supplies fitted for 1+1 redundancy. No SSD is installed on the base 200G; the FG-201G adds 480 GB for local log storage. No FortiCare or FortiGuard subscription is bundled. SFP and SFP+ transceivers are sold separately.

The step from 200F to 200G is a platform change. The appliance runs firewall policy without a subscription, but FortiGuard services — IPS, AV, URL and DNS filtering, application control, FortiCare support — require an active license (FC-10-FG2HG- prefix).
