What the OT Security Service covers

This is an à-la-carte FortiGuard subscription that adds four OT-specific capabilities to the FortiGate 1800F — none of which are included in the standard Enterprise, UTP, or ATP bundles:

• OT Device Detection: automatically identifies industrial devices such as PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, and engineering workstations, mapping them by vendor, type, and firmware version so operators can see exactly what is connected.
• OT Vulnerability Correlation and Virtual Patching: cross-references detected OT device profiles against FortiGuard’s threat intelligence database. When a CVE applies to a device that cannot be patched immediately, virtual patching blocks the exploit at the firewall without touching the endpoint.
• OT Application Control and IPS Signatures: adds protocol-aware deep packet inspection for industrial protocols including Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850, EtherNet/IP, and Siemens S7. Anomalous commands and known OT-targeted exploits are detected and blocked in real time. Signature updates are pushed automatically throughout the subscription term.
• OT Dashboards and Compliance Reports: pre-built visibility panels and compliance reporting tailored to industrial security standards, giving security teams and auditors a consolidated view of OT risk posture.

Who needs this service

The OT Security Service is the right fit for FortiGate 1800F deployments at the IT/OT convergence boundary in:

• Manufacturing plants, utilities, or energy producers with SCADA, DCS, or ICS environments
• Critical infrastructure operators subject to NERC CIP, IEC 62443, or similar industrial security frameworks

Note: organizations running standard Enterprise or UTP bundles on their FortiGate 1800F do not receive OT capabilities automatically. The OT Security Service is an add-on that stacks on top of any existing subscription and FortiCare contract.

Activation and delivery

FC-10-F18HF-159-02-36 is a software license. No hardware ships. After ordering, DataCenter360.ca delivers the license entitlement to your registered email within 0–1 business days. OT Security as a standalone service

The FortiGuard bundles — Enterprise, UTP, and ATP — cover network and file security, URL and DNS filtering, anti-malware protection, and FortiCare Premium support.
