What the service covers

FortiConverter maps source policies, objects, NAT rules, and routes onto FortiOS, flagging items that need a human decision rather than silently discarding them. The result is a configuration you review and refine, not a blank box you build from scratch. It is a one-time conversion entitlement tied to this migration, not an ongoing subscription that runs in the background.

Who needs it

This is for anyone standing up a 60E-DSL to replace something else: a legacy firewall from another brand, an end-of-life FortiGate, or a site being consolidated. If your existing ruleset is large or business-critical, the converter is cheap insurance against a manual rebuild that misses a rule and breaks an application on day one.

Activation and delivery

The entitlement is delivered electronically, usually within one business day. Register it in FortiCloud and use the FortiConverter tooling to process your source configuration. There is no shipment. The license covers the migration window for this device.

After the cutover

Once the 60E-DSL is live, most sites add ongoing services: FortiCare Premium for support during and after the transition, and FortiGate Cloud Management for visibility once the rules are in place. We can quote those alongside the conversion so the new unit is covered from the first day.
