Can a 1-year term be renewed or extended before it expires?
Yes. You can purchase a renewal before the current term expires to keep coverage continuous. The new term starts from the end of the existing coverage, not from the purchase date. If the term has already expired, the new subscription starts from the registration date and a gap in coverage exists. Fortinet may charge a lapsed-coverage fee on renewals placed after expiry; renewing in advance avoids this.
What is different about the FortiGate 901G compared to the 900G?
The FortiGate 901G ships with two 480 GB SSDs (960 GB total) for on-appliance log storage. The 900G does not have internal storage. Both models share the same NP7 + CP9 ASIC platform and deliver 26 Gbps IPS, 22 Gbps NGFW, and 20 Gbps Threat Protection throughput. Their service SKU prefixes differ: FC-10-FG9H1- for the 901G and FC-10-FG9H0- for the 900G.
Does Priority RMA come with FortiCare Premium?
FortiCare Premium includes standard advance replacement, which ships a replacement unit before the defective one is returned. Priority RMA (next-business-day delivery of the replacement) is an optional add-on sold as FC-10-FG9H1-210-02-12.
