Nothing ships, and a working 35D plus an active FortiSASE deployment are the prerequisites.

One service or the broader subscription

This connector is about access and integration with FortiSASE, not the on-box threat inspection the 35D performs locally. Intrusion prevention, antivirus, and web filtering on the appliance itself come from the UTP or Enterprise subscription, and the two layers work together in a SASE design.
