When hardware fails and Fortinet authorizes the replacement, a unit ships to the installation address for delivery by the next calendar day.
This add-on upgrades the replacement hardware delivery commitment under an active FortiCare Premium or Elite plan. After Fortinet authorizes an RMA, a replacement FortiGateRugged 70F-3G4G is dispatched and delivered to the registered address by the next calendar day. On-site personnel perform the swap. No Fortinet engineer is included. Coverage applies for 60 months from activation.
The Next Calendar Day add-on suits deployments where a single-day interruption is operationally acceptable but multi-day downtime is not — for example, a branch WAN edge that can fall back to mobile LTE overnight, or a secondary industrial gateway at a site with manual fallback procedures.
