FortiCare Essential is the base support tier for Fortinet appliances. With this subscription active on your FortiGate 50G-SFP, you have ticket-based access to Fortinet’s Technical Assistance Center, rights to firmware and feature updates throughout the 1-year term, and access to the FortiCare portal for license registration and service management. Telephone support (24×7) and advance hardware replacement (RMA) are not included; those fall under FortiCare Premium and above.
