When a match is found, the FortiGate can block the transfer, quarantine the session, or log it for later review, depending on how sensitive the data type is.

Because inspection happens inline on the FortiGate 51G, there is no separate DLP appliance to size or manage. Policy changes apply instantly through the FortiOS GUI.

Who Needs DLP on the FortiGate 51G

FortiGuard DLP is practical for branch offices, small businesses, and remote sites where staff have access to confidential records.
