The FortiAP U431F is an indoor, high-density Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax Wave 2) Universal access point built for large classrooms, auditoriums, open-plan offices and other dense client environments. Its tri-radio, 4x4 MIMO design runs dual 5 GHz radios with 10 internal antennas, reaching up to 4.8 Gbps aggregate using the Wi-Fi 6 toolkit — OFDMA, MU-MIMO, BSS coloring and Target Wake Time — for more reliable throughput as client counts grow. As part of the Universal (UTP) family it can run FortiGuard Universal Threat Protection services on the AP itself, bringing firewall-grade protection to the wireless edge, and is managed by any FortiGate, by FortiLAN Cloud or by FortiSASE. A 2.5 GbE multigigabit primary uplink plus a secondary GbE port (PoE diversity / daisy-chain) feed the higher data rates, powered by standard 802.3at PoE (about 25 W — the U431F is not 802.3af compliant).
