The FortiAP 431F is a high-density Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) indoor access point with a tri-radio, 4x4 MU-MIMO design - two client radios on 2.4 and 5 GHz plus a dedicated scanning radio - and internal antennas for a clean ceiling install. It is the internal-antenna sibling of the external-antenna 433F, and is managed by any FortiGate or by FortiEdge Cloud with no separate controller. The 431F reached end of order on 29 August 2025 and is now sold from remaining stock; Fortinet continues support, firmware and FortiCare renewals through 2030. For new high-density rollouts the direct replacement is the Wi-Fi 7 FortiAP 441K, which adds the 6 GHz band and dual 10 GbE uplinks; the 433F is the external-antenna equivalent and the Wi-Fi 6E FortiAP 431G is a close successor in the same family.
