The FortiAP 433F is a high-density Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) indoor access point with a tri-radio, 4x4 MU-MIMO design - two client radios on 2.4 and 5 GHz plus a dedicated scanning radio - and five external antennas for installations that need flexible coverage shaping. It is the external-antenna sibling of the internal-antenna 431F, and is managed by any FortiGate or by FortiEdge Cloud with no separate controller. The 433F reached end of order on 29 June 2025 and is now sold from remaining stock; Fortinet continues support, firmware and FortiCare renewals through 2030. For new high-density rollouts the direct replacement is the Wi-Fi 7 FortiAP 443K, which also uses external RP-SMA antennas and adds the 6 GHz band with dual 10 GbE uplinks; the Wi-Fi 6E FortiAP 432G is an outdoor 4x4 alternative.

The 433F is legacy – here is how to renew what you own or move to its Wi-Fi 7 successor.
| Lifecycle | End of order 29 Jun 2025 · end of support 29 Jun 2030 (renewable) |

Power and mount the FortiAP 433F.
The FortiAP 433F reached end of order on 29 June 2025 and is classified as legacy. Hardware is sold only from remaining stock, but Fortinet continues firmware, security updates and FortiCare support through 29 June 2030, so existing deployments remain fully protected and renewable.
The direct successor is the Wi-Fi 7 FortiAP 443K, which also uses external RP-SMA antennas and adds the 6 GHz band with dual 10 GbE uplinks. The internal-antenna equivalent is the 431F, and the Wi-Fi 6E FortiAP 432G is an outdoor 4×4 alternative.
It is a tri-radio Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) AP with 4×4 MU-MIMO, reaching up to 1148 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz – about 3.5 Gbps aggregate – with a dedicated scanning radio and up to 512 clients per serving radio.
They share the same 4×4 Wi-Fi 6 radios; the 433F has five external antennas for coverage shaping, while the 431F uses internal antennas for a cleaner ceiling install. Choose the 433F where you need to aim or extend coverage.
