What AMP covers

Three detection layers activate on the FortiGate 100F for the subscription term:

• Antivirus (AV): FortiGuard Labs maintains a continuously updated malware signature database. The FortiGate 100F scans file transfers, email attachments, and web downloads against this database in real time, blocking matches before they reach internal hosts.
• Mobile Malware Detection: extends scanning to mobile application packages and threat vectors common to Android and iOS environments, covering bring-your-own-device traffic that flows through the FortiGate 100F.
• FortiGate Cloud Sandbox: files that pass signature scanning but exhibit suspicious characteristics are submitted to FortiGate Cloud Sandbox for dynamic execution and behavioral analysis. Verdicts feed back to the FortiGate 100F to allow or block delivery based on observed behavior rather than known patterns alone.

Who needs the standalone AMP service
