The FortiGate 2200E 3-Year 4-Hour Priority RMA Service (FC-10-F22HE-211-02-36) upgrades the standard next-business-day hardware replacement on a FortiGate 2200E to a four-hour on-site courier delivery for 36 months. It requires an active FortiCare Premium or FortiCare Elite contract on the same appliance, runs alongside that support agreement rather than replacing it, and is a subscription only: no hardware ships with this SKU.

What this service covers

Priority RMA (PRMA) is Fortinet’s add-on hardware replacement tier, layered on top of a FortiCare Premium or Elite contract. This SKU is the four-hour courier option:

• Four-hour courier delivery: once a hardware failure is confirmed and the RMA is authorized, a replacement FortiGate 2200E is dispatched by courier and delivered on-site within four hours, subject to country-level service availability and cutoff times.
• Weekend and holiday coverage: Priority RMA options, including this tier, are not limited to standard business hours the way the base next-business-day replacement is.
• Runs on top of Premium or Elite: the base FortiCare contract already includes advanced replacement (a unit ships before Fortinet receives the failed one back); this add-on shortens the delivery window from next business day down to four hours.

A separate, faster option exists for facilities that also need an engineer on-site to rack, cable, and remove the failed unit (the four-hour courier plus on-site engineer SKU); a slower, lower-cost Next Calendar Day option also exists for the same 2200E.

Who needs the four-hour tier

This level suits a FortiGate 2200E carrying production traffic where a hardware failure has to be resolved same-day, not next-day: primary data center firewalls, high-transaction environments, and single-appliance deployments where an HA pair isn’t in place to absorb the outage. Organizations already running FortiGate 2200E pairs in HA may find the standard next-business-day replacement adequate and can reserve the four-hour tier for the more exposed side of the network.

Essential-tier support is not eligible for any Priority RMA add-on, including this one. This FortiGate 2200E must carry an active Premium or Elite contract for the four-hour courier tier to apply.

Activation and delivery

The subscription is issued electronically and registered to the FortiGate 2200E’s serial number, alongside its existing FortiCare Premium or Elite contract. No hardware ships with this order; the license simply changes the replacement SLA that applies if the appliance later needs an RMA. Coverage runs for the full 36-month term from activation.

One service vs. the base FortiCare contract

FortiCare Premium and Elite already include advanced-replacement RMA on a next-business-day basis at no extra add-on cost. This SKU exists purely to compress that window to four hours. If next-business-day already meets an organization’s recovery targets, the base FortiCare contract alone is sufficient and this add-on isn’t needed. If four hours still isn’t tight enough, the Priority RMA tier with an on-site engineer is the next step up for the same 2200E.
