When a hardware fault is confirmed and the exchange is authorized, Fortinet dispatches both a courier with the replacement unit and a separate on-site engineer. The engineer racks and cables the new appliance, then leaves with the defective hardware. No in-house IT involvement is required beyond opening the support ticket. An active FortiCare Premium or Elite contract on the same device is required to activate this add-on.
This SKU is the Priority RMA add-on for the FortiGate 40F at the 4-Hour Hardware and Onsite Engineer tier, running for 60 months (5 years) from activation. “4-Hour” is the target delivery window once the RMA exchange is confirmed: a courier arrives with the replacement unit and an engineer arrives separately on-site within that window.
