What is the 15-minute response SLA under FortiCare Elite?
For Priority 1 cases — complete loss of network function or a confirmed security incident — Fortinet TAC commits to initial engineer contact within 15 minutes. Under FortiCare Premium the same P1 SLA is 2 hours. For deployments where a 2-hour wait is genuinely disruptive, this difference is the core reason to choose Elite over Premium.
Does FortiCare Elite cover FortiOS firmware upgrades?
Yes. FortiCare (all tiers) includes access to FortiOS firmware updates throughout the contract term. Elite additionally includes extended LTS branches maintained past standard end-of-support dates, giving you more runway before a major-version upgrade is required.
