Product description

Hardware failures rarely follow a schedule. What does follow a schedule is your network’s requirement to be back online fast. FC-10-F50G5-211-02-36 is the 3-Year 4-Hour Hardware Delivery Priority RMA for the FortiGate 50G-5G, delivering a replacement unit to your site within 4 hours of a confirmed hardware failure — with no annual renewal across the 3-year term.

What the -211- Service Covers

The 4-Hour Hardware Delivery Priority RMA (code -211-) is an add-on to FortiCare Premium or Elite for the FortiGate 50G-5G. When a hardware failure is confirmed by Fortinet support, a replacement unit is dispatched with a commitment that it arrives at the device’s registered location within 4 hours. The replacement is pre-configured to match your device generation.

This service covers the hardware delivery side of the response. It does not include an on-site engineer — that is the -212- service. For organizations with capable on-site IT staff or managed service providers already contracted, the 211 level provides the critical component: getting the replacement hardware in hand without the typical next-business-day wait.

The 3-year term eliminates three years of renewal overhead and locks in the 4-hour response commitment across a mid-range deployment cycle. An active FortiCare Premium or Elite subscription on the same device serial number is required.

FortiCare Support Tiers and Priority RMA

Priority RMA services are available on FortiCare Premium and Elite plans only. The table below compares RMA and support levels across the three FortiCare tiers:

Essential Premium Elite
Hardware RMA Return & replace Advanced replacement Advanced replacement
Priority RMA add-on eligible
Critical-issue response Next business day 1 hour 15 minutes
Telephone support

Who Orders the 3-Year Term

The 3-year term fits branch or edge deployments that are mid-lifecycle, or where procurement cycles run in 3-year blocks aligned to lease or refresh schedules. If the FortiGate 50G-5G has been running for 2 years and a 5-year term exceeds the expected remaining lifespan, the 3-year 211 service covers the active life of the device without over-committing. When the on-site team or a contracted managed services provider can handle the physical swap, the 211 level delivers the hardware fast without the added cost of the on-site 212 service.

Activation and Delivery

FC-10-F50G5-211-02-36 is an electronic license. After purchasing from DataCenter360.ca, your registration key arrives by email within one business day. Activate it through the Fortinet support portal against the serial number of your FortiGate 50G-5G. The 3-year term begins at activation, not at invoice date.

Buying from DataCenter360.ca

DataCenter360.ca is a Fortinet Select Partner with the complete FortiGate 50G-5G Priority RMA portfolio in stock across all terms. The 3-year 211 service is a common choice for deployments aligned to lease or procurement cycles, and we fulfill it electronically with same-day confirmation. If you are aligning term dates to an existing FortiCare Premium subscription or matching coverage to a hardware bundle, contact us and we will coordinate the coverage so it is active from the first day.

How does 4-hour hardware delivery work in practice?

After your Fortinet support case confirms a hardware failure and the RMA is approved, a replacement FortiGate 50G-5G is dispatched from a regional advance-replacement depot. Fortinet commits to delivery at the device’s registered service address within 4 hours of approval. The failed unit is returned after the swap is complete.

What is the difference between -211- and -212-?

Both services deliver replacement hardware within 4 hours of failure confirmation. The -212- service additionally dispatches a certified Fortinet engineer to the site to handle the swap. If your team can install a replacement unit and restore the configuration, the 211 service is sufficient. If you need Fortinet hands on-site, 212 is the right choice.

Does the 3-year term cover a device replaced under RMA?

Yes. When a replacement unit is issued under the RMA, Fortinet transfers the remaining term to the new device serial number. Your 3-year coverage follows the device through hardware replacements for the duration of the contract.

Is there a geographic restriction on the 4-hour delivery SLA?

The license can be purchased and activated electronically worldwide. The 4-hour delivery commitment for the physical hardware is subject to Fortinet’s service coverage area for your device’s registered location. Confirm your site is within the covered delivery zone before relying on the 4-hour SLA.

What FortiCare plan is required to activate this add-on?

An active FortiCare Premium or FortiCare Elite subscription on the same device serial number is required. FortiCare Essential does not qualify for Priority RMA add-ons. If your device currently runs Essential, upgrade the base support tier first, then add FC-10-F50G5-211-02-36.
