What Ships

The FGR-70F-3G4G ships as hardware only. No license is included. In the box: the ruggedized appliance, a DIN-rail mounting bracket, a 205 mm x 25 mm LTE antenna, and documentation. FortiGuard services (UTP, Enterprise, FortiCare) are ordered separately as FC-10-F70FM- subscriptions.

Where It Fits

The LTE modem handles primary or failover WAN, and the GPS receiver supports precise timestamping for SCADA protocols. A Digital I/O module connects to external alarms or sensors. Hardware Alone vs Adding a License

Out of the box, the appliance routes traffic with no FortiGuard inspection. This SKU is right for proof-of-concept, lab testing, or replacing a failed unit under an existing FortiCare contract. For production OT security, add at minimum the 1-Year UTP bundle (FC-10-F70FM-950-02-12) to activate IPS, application control, malware scanning, web filtering, and FortiCare support.
