When a FortiAP 241K is already covered by a 3-year Premium contract, FC-10-P241K-204-02-36 lets you raise the SLA to Elite level across the full 3-year period. The upgrade applies the 15-minute critical response time on top of active Premium coverage without requiring a separate Elite base contract or a duplicate registration.
FC-10-P241K-204-02-36 adds the Elite-tier critical-issue response, 15 minutes, to an active FortiCare Premium contract for three years. The existing Premium entitlements remain in effect: 24×7 TAC phone support, firmware update rights, advance hardware replacement, and FortiCare portal access. This contract elevates the response SLA for the full 3-year concurrent term, without replacing the base Premium contract.
Three support tiers cover the FortiAP 241K. This contract upgrades from Premium to the Elite response SLA.

Buying the 3-year upgrade is efficient when the active Premium contract also has roughly 3 years remaining and the decision to run at Elite SLA applies across the whole period. A 3-year upgrade avoids three separate annual upgrade purchases and removes the risk of a gap if any renewal step is delayed. It is also the appropriate match when the deployment has a defined 3-year lifecycle and the team has already decided that 15-minute response is the right standard for this AP.
An active FortiCare Premium contract on the same serial number is required before registering this upgrade. Once both contracts are active in the FortiCare portal, the Elite SLA applies for 3 years from the upgrade activation date. The upgrade term does not need to start at the same time as the Premium contract; it can be added at any point while Premium is active.
This is an electronic license delivered by email within 0 to 1 business days of purchase. Register it in the FortiCare portal against the FortiAP 241K serial number. No hardware ships; available to customers worldwide.

No. The upgrade runs for 3 years from its own activation date, independent of when the Premium contract was activated or expires. Both contracts must be active simultaneously for the Elite SLA to apply.
FortiCare Elite SLA requires an active Premium base contract. If Premium lapses, renewing it restores Elite-level coverage. Contact DataCenter360.ca or Fortinet support if your renewal is overdue.
Yes. If you don’t yet have an active Premium contract, purchasing standalone Elite (284-02-36) is simpler. If Premium is already paid and current, the upgrade path (204-02-36) may be more cost-effective.
No. The Elite Upgrade requires FortiCare Premium as the base. Upgrade the unit to Premium first (FC-10-P241K-247-02-36), then add the Elite Upgrade on top.
Yes. FC-10-P241K-204-02-12 covers 1 year and FC-10-P241K-204-02-60 covers 5 years. All terms require an active Premium contract as a prerequisite.
