The FortiAP 241K is Fortinet's quad-radio Wi-Fi 7 indoor access point for high-density enterprise environments. It runs three active 2x2 serving radios — one each for 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz — plus a dedicated fourth tri-band scan radio that monitors the RF environment continuously without borrowing time from client radios. This means WIPS / WIDS and background scanning run 24x7 without reducing client capacity or throughput. A 10 Gigabit multigigabit primary uplink (100M / 1G / 2.5G / 5G / 10G) gives the AP headroom to absorb the combined throughput of all three active radios, and a second 1 GbE port can daisy-chain a local device. 802.3bt PoE powers all four radios simultaneously at 26.1 W maximum. Six internal dual-band, 6 GHz and tri-band antennas handle all client RF while the BLE / Zigbee radio supports beacons, IoT and locationing. The AP is managed by any FortiGate, by FortiEdge Cloud or through FortiSASE with no separate controller licence. For deployments needing external antennas instead, the FAP-243K is the same platform with six RP-SMA connectors in place of the internal elements.

The 241K ships with a standard ceiling / T-rail / wall mount kit. Use the GPI-145 for full 4-radio 802.3bt power, or GPI-130 for partial-radio 802.3at operation.
The FortiAP 241K is a current-generation Wi-Fi 7 access point, actively sold and fully supported. It is not on an end-of-order or end-of-support schedule.
Both are 2×2 Wi-Fi 7 tri-band APs covering 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz. The key difference is the 241K adds a dedicated fourth tri-band scan radio — so WIPS / WIDS and background scanning run continuously without consuming time on the three client-serving radios. The 241K also steps up to a 10 GbE primary uplink (vs 5 GbE on the 231K) and requires 802.3bt PoE for full operation.
The FAP-241K and FAP-243K are the same quad-radio Wi-Fi 7 platform. The 241K uses six internal antennas. The 243K replaces them with six external RP-SMA connectors, letting you attach directional or high-gain antennas for dense deployments, auditoriums or spaces with challenging RF geometry. Both ship to North America under the -A region code.
802.3bt is required for full 4-radio operation at up to 26.1 W. In 802.3at high mode all three serving radios run but Radio 3 is limited to 15 dBm Tx power. Use the GPI-145 multigig 802.3bt injector or an 802.3bt-capable PoE switch. The GPI-130 802.3at injector covers the high mode with the noted Tx-power limitation on Radio 3.
