The FortiAP 243K is Fortinet's external-antenna Wi-Fi 7 indoor access point - a true four-radio design with 2x2 MU-MIMO and six RP-SMA connectors, so you can fit directional or high-gain antennas where internal-antenna APs cannot deliver the coverage pattern you need. It serves clients on 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz at once while a dedicated fourth radio continuously scans for threats and rogue APs, so security never costs you airtime. With 320 MHz channels on 6 GHz and a 10 Gigabit multigigabit uplink it has plenty of headroom for warehouses, atriums, high-ceiling spaces and bespoke coverage designs. An integrated BLE / Zigbee radio supports beacons and locationing, and the AP is managed by any FortiGate or by FortiEdge Cloud - no separate controller and no per-AP management license. For internal antennas choose the 241K; for the highest 4x4 density step up to the 441K or 443K.

Power and mount the FortiAP 243K.
The FortiAP 243K is a current-generation Wi-Fi 7 access point, actively sold and fully supported. It is not on an end-of-order or end-of-support schedule.
Both are quad-radio 2×2 Wi-Fi 7 APs with identical performance. The 241K uses internal antennas for clean ceiling mounting; the 243K has six external RP-SMA connectors so you can fit directional or high-gain antennas for custom coverage such as warehouses, atriums and high-ceiling spaces.
It is a Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) AP with four radios and 2×2 MU-MIMO, reaching about 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, 4.32 Gbps on 5 GHz and 5.77 Gbps on 6 GHz (roughly 10.8 Gbps aggregate), and supports up to 512 clients per serving radio.
It runs at full capability on 802.3bt PoE (reduced capability on 802.3at, or a 36 W DC supply). Its primary port is a multigigabit RJ45 supporting 100M / 1G / 2.5G / 5G / 10G, plus a second 1 GbE port.
