What’s in the Box

The FS-124F is a 1RU rack-mount switch that ships ready for standard 19-inch cabinet installation. Twenty-four GE RJ45 ports cover the endpoint connections; four 10GE SFP+ slots handle the uplinks using either fiber transceivers or DAC cables. The built-in AC supply runs from 100-240V with no external adapter required. At 24.8W average draw and completely fanless, it adds essentially no noise or heat load to the rack.

The FS-124F suits office floors, server rooms, and IDF closets where wired devices need Gigabit access and the uplink to the core or the FortiGate needs to run at 10GE. The FS-124F includes a limited lifetime warranty on hardware. FortiCare support (Essential or Premium) is a separate annual purchase and unlocks Fortinet TAC access, firmware downloads, and hardware replacement options. For production office deployments, active FortiCare keeps the switch eligible for firmware security patches as they are released by Fortinet.
