The FortiAP 234F is a ruggedized Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) outdoor access point with a tri-radio design - 2x2 MU-MIMO on both the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands plus a dedicated radio for continuous scanning and threat detection - in a sealed housing built for harsh outdoor and semi-outdoor environments. It ships with a mounting kit and a PoE injector, carries dual 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports for redundant links or daisy-chain pass-through, and includes an integrated BLE/Zigbee radio for location services and IoT. It is managed by any FortiGate or by FortiLAN Cloud with no separate controller. The 234F reached end of order on 9 April 2026 and is now sold from remaining stock; Fortinet continues support, firmware and FortiCare renewals through 2031, so existing fleets stay fully protected. For new outdoor rollouts the direct replacement is the Wi-Fi 6E FortiAP 234G, which adds the clean 6 GHz band in the same outdoor form factor; the U234F is the Universal (UTP) sibling.
