The FortiAP 432FR is Fortinet's hazardous-location wireless access point, Class I Division 2 (C1D2) certified for the kind of industrial sites where standard APs simply cannot be deployed - oil and gas rigs, chemical plants, manufacturing floors and transportation infrastructure. Built on top-of-the-line Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) hardware, it runs three radios with 4x4 MU-MIMO across the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, reaching roughly 3.5 Gbps of aggregate throughput and up to 512 clients per radio. A 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet uplink and a second Gigabit port with PoE out handle backhaul and downstream power, while 802.3bt PoE powers the AP over a single cable (it also runs full 4x4 on 802.3at). Integrated BLE / Zigbee adds beacons and locationing for asset tracking. Like every FortiAP it is managed directly by a FortiGate or by FortiEdge Cloud - no separate controller and no per-AP management license. For non-hazardous outdoor high-density coverage with 6 GHz, look at the Wi-Fi 6E 432G; for 2x2 outdoor 6E, the 234G.

The FortiAP 432FR is a current-generation Wi-Fi 6 access point, actively sold and fully supported. It is not on an end-of-order or end-of-support schedule.
The 432FR is hazardous-location certified – Class I Division 2 (C1D2) – so it can be installed in explosive-atmosphere sites like oil and gas rigs, chemical plants, manufacturing floors and transportation infrastructure where standard access points are not rated to operate.
It is a Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) AP with three radios and 4×4 MU-MIMO across the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, reaching about 1147 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 2.4 Gbps on 5 GHz (roughly 3.5 Gbps aggregate), and up to 512 clients per radio. It does not use the 6 GHz band.
It ships with an 802.3bt PoE injector and uplinks over a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45, with a second Gigabit port that can deliver PoE out and an RS-232 serial console. It can also run full 4×4 operation on 802.3at PoE.
The 432FR is the hazardous-location C1D2 variant on Wi-Fi 6 (2.4 / 5 GHz). The 432G is the non-hazardous outdoor flagship and adds Wi-Fi 6E 6 GHz, a 10 GbE uplink and on-board GPS. Both share the 4×4 design and FortiGate / FortiEdge Cloud management.
