The FortiWiFi 61F is the onboard-storage model of Fortinet's popular 60F wireless desktop next-generation firewall line. It pairs ten Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports (2 WAN, 1 DMZ, 7 internal), an integrated single-radio 802.11ac Wave 2 (Wi-Fi 5) access point and a 128 GB SSD with the SoC4 security processor, delivering 10 Gbps firewall throughput, 700 Mbps of threat protection, 700,000 concurrent sessions and 6.5 Gbps of IPsec VPN. The internal SSD enables local logging and reporting on the box, useful where a FortiAnalyzer or cloud log target is not available. It runs FortiOS with built-in secure SD-WAN and ZTNA enforcement, with no add-on license needed for those features, in a compact fanless desktop or wall-mountable chassis. If you do not need onboard storage, choose the FortiWiFi 60F; for a wired-only firewall choose the FortiGate 61F.

The FortiWiFi 61F is a current, shipping FortiGate ‘F’ series wireless next-generation firewall built on the SoC4 security processor, with active FortiGuard and FortiCare subscriptions available. It is the onboard-SSD model of the popular 60F wireless line.
Performance, ports, Wi-Fi and FortiOS features are identical. The 61F adds a 1x 128 GB onboard SSD for local logging and reporting; the 60F has no internal storage and relies on FortiAnalyzer or FortiGate Cloud for logs.
The FortiWiFi 61F has an integrated single-radio 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wave 2 (Wi-Fi 5) access point delivering up to 1300 Mbps at 5 GHz and 450 Mbps at 2.4 GHz, with 3.5 dBi (5 GHz) and 5 dBi (2.4 GHz) antennas and up to 20 dBm transmit power.
The 61F delivers 10 Gbps firewall throughput, 1.4 Gbps IPS, 1 Gbps NGFW, 700 Mbps threat protection and 630 Mbps SSL inspection, with 700,000 concurrent sessions and 35,000 new sessions per second — identical to the FortiWiFi 60F.
