The FortiWiFi 71G is the storage-equipped wireless model in Fortinet’s 70G desktop line. It shares every performance metric with the FortiWiFi 70G — 1.3 Gbps threat protection, 10 Gbps firewall throughput, 1.4 million concurrent sessions, FortiSP5 ASIC-accelerated SD-WAN, and an integrated dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) access point — and adds a 64 GB onboard SSD so logs, reports, and FortiAnalyzer-style analytics run directly on the appliance. No external logging server is required.
Secure SD-WAN and Universal ZTNA are built into FortiOS at no extra cost. Two FortiLink GE RJ45 ports extend security to up to 24 FortiSwitches and 96 FortiAPs from one management plane, while the built-in radio delivers Wi-Fi 6 across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz with dual-stream MU-MIMO via three external SMA antenna ports — ideal for branches that need NGFW, wireless, and local log retention in a single fanless desktop appliance.
