What Secure RMA Covers

The FortiWiFi 71G runs Fortinet’s FortiSP5 security processing unit and stores configuration and policy data on internal solid-state media that cannot be removed in the field. Under a standard return-and-replace RMA, that device — and its storage — travels back to Fortinet. Secure RMA changes the process: Fortinet ships a replacement unit to you and does not require the defective device back. You retain physical custody of the failed hardware and can dispose of it according to your security policy.

This subscription runs for one year from the activation date and must be attached to an active FortiCare Premium or FortiCare Elite contract on the same device. It does not include expedited delivery or on-site engineer services; those are separate add-ons (SKUs ending in -211- or -212-).
