The engineer racks, cables, and commissions the new appliance — your team does not need to be involved in the physical swap. FortiCare Premium or Elite is required as a prerequisite.

What the 4-Hour Onsite RMA Covers

Fortinet’s 4-Hour Hardware and Onsite Engineer Priority RMA is the fastest physical replacement option in the FortiCare lineup. When the FortiWiFi 71G fails and an RMA is confirmed, Fortinet dispatches two things simultaneously: a replacement unit by courier and a field engineer to your site. Both are committed to arrive within four hours. The engineer racks and cables the new appliance and, if you request it, takes the defective unit away when they leave.

This subscription is an add-on to FortiCare Premium or FortiCare Elite. It cannot be purchased standalone or attached to a FortiCare Essential contract. Coverage runs for three years from the activation date. Priority RMA options cover weekends and holidays, unlike standard next-business-day replacement.

Who This RMA Tier Is For

The 4-Hour Onsite add-on is designed for wireless deployments where a manual hardware swap is not feasible — due to staffing constraints, physical access limitations, or the complexity of cabling in the target location.
