What the FortiWiFi 70G PoE is for

The FortiWiFi 70G PoE combines everything in the FortiWiFi 70G — the FortiGate 70G platform plus an integrated dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) access point — with four GE RJ45 PoE/PoE+ ports for powering downstream FortiAPs, IP phones, and cameras directly from the firewall. It delivers 1.3 Gbps threat protection and 10 Gbps firewall throughput while eliminating both a separate wireless AP and a separate PoE switch or injector. The 60 W total PoE budget (up to 30 W per port, IEEE 802.3af/at) covers most small and mid-size branch deployments in a single fanless desktop appliance.

Secure SD-WAN and Universal ZTNA are built into FortiOS at no extra cost. Two FortiLink-capable GE RJ45 ports extend security to up to 24 FortiSwitches and 96 FortiAPs from one management plane, while the built-in radio delivers Wi-Fi 6 across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz with dual-stream MU-MIMO via three external SMA antenna ports.
