The FortiSwitch 2048F is a high-density data center switch built for 25-gigabit server connectivity and 100-gigabit aggregation. It provides 48 ports of 1/10/25 GE on SFP28 for server and storage links, eight flexible 40/100 GE QSFP28 ports for high-speed uplinks to the core or spine, plus two 10 GE SFP+ ports. With 4 Tbps of switching capacity and under one microsecond latency, it handles dense east-west traffic and top-of-rack fan-out with headroom. Dual hot-swappable AC power supplies keep it running through a power event, and Layer 2/3 FortiSwitchOS handles segmentation and routing. As a FortiGate switch-controller compatible switch, it is managed over FortiLink and joins the Security Fabric - one console for switching and security, no separate controller.
