Work through power first, then mounting, then protection. Each accessory below lists the exact FortiAP models it fits, so you can confirm compatibility before you buy.
If your switch supplies PoE, no accessory is needed. Where it does not, add a PoE injector (GPI-115 / 130 / 145) to power the AP over its data cable, or a DC power supply (SP-FAP series) to power it locally. Match the injector class or adaptor to your model, higher-power Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 APs need 802.3bt or the 36 to 48W adaptors.
Choose a mount for where the AP lives. FAP-400 kits cover standard wall, ceiling and T-rail; the metal FAP-ALL-MTL-5 and gang-box FAP-MNT-Gbox add flush and junction-box mounting; and the FAP-BRKT-MNT-5 and FAP-MNT-ODR articulated brackets handle outdoor walls and poles.
For harsh, industrial or high-traffic sites, add an enclosure. The FAP-ENC-43X under-seat wedge suits stadiums and arenas, and the FAP-ENC-12X10 NEMA 4X polycarbonate box protects APs indoors or outdoors on a wall or pole.

Match the adaptor to your model. Indoor 200-series APs (FAP-221E, 223E, 231K, 231F, U231F, 231G, 233G) use the 30W SP-FAP200-PA. Higher-power 400-series and Wi-Fi 7 APs use the 36W SP-FAP400-PA or the 48W extended-temperature SP-FAP250-PA. Wall-jack 23J APs use the 65W SP-FAP23J-PA, and the FAP-U431F/U433F use the SP-FAP43F-PA. Each product page lists its supported models.
If your switch already provides PoE at the right class, you need neither. If it does not, a PoE injector (GPI-115 for 802.3af, GPI-130 for 802.3at, GPI-145 for 802.3bt multi-gig) powers the AP over its existing Ethernet cable, up to 100 m. A DC power supply is the alternative when running a local adaptor is easier than a PoE source.
They differ by PoE class and output. The GPI-115 delivers 15.4W (802.3af), the GPI-130 delivers 30W (802.3at), and the GPI-145 delivers 60W (802.3bt) with multi-gigabit pass-through at 2.5/5/10 Gbps. Use the class your FortiAP requires, higher-power Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 access points need the GPI-145.
For standard offices, the FAP-400-MNT-10 (wall and T-rail) or FAP-400-SMNT-20 (standard wall or ceiling) kits fit most current indoor models. Use the FAP-400-RMNT-20 for recessed T-rail, the metal FAP-ALL-MTL-5 or FAP-SMNT-MTL-20 for a rigid flush mount, and the FAP-MNT-Gbox-10pk to mount onto a gang or junction box.
Use an articulated bracket. The FAP-BRKT-MNT-5 provides a fully articulated wall and pole/mast mount for outdoor APs such as the FAP-432G, 234G and 234F, and the FAP-MNT-ODR-5pk is a universal articulating pole and wall bracket that also supports FortiAP-HD models. For the harshest sites, add a NEMA 4X FAP-ENC-12X10 enclosure.
