The FortiGate 200F is a 1RU campus and branch-edge next-generation firewall built on Fortinet's NP6XLite network processor and CP9 content processor. It delivers 27 Gbps of IPv4 firewall throughput, 5 Gbps of IPS, 3.5 Gbps of NGFW and 3 Gbps of threat protection, with 3 million concurrent sessions.
Its port layout suits a campus wiring closet: 16x GE RJ45 and 8x GE SFP for access, plus 4x 10GE SFP+ — two of them dedicated FortiLink ports for managing a FortiSwitch stack. The 200F manages up to 64 FortiSwitches and 256 FortiAPs as a Security Fabric root, and includes a TPM and Bluetooth Low Energy for secure onboarding.
Lifecycle: Fortinet stopped accepting new 200F orders on 2026-03-01, so the appliance is no longer available from any channel — DataCenter360.ca supplies FortiGuard and FortiCare renewals for units already in service, available to 2030-03-01 with support ending 2031-03-01. For a new deployment, the FortiGate 200G is the current-generation equivalent. All lifecycle dates are on the Fortinet end-of-life page.

No. The FortiGate 200F passed End of Order on 2026-03-01, so Fortinet no longer sells new units and there is no channel left to source the appliance from. DataCenter360.ca supplies FortiGuard and FortiCare renewals for units already in service. For a new deployment, see the FortiGate 200G.
Renewals are available until 2030-03-01 (the Last Service Extension Date), and Fortinet support for the platform ends 2031-03-01. Every available renewal SKU is listed on this page with live pricing, so a 200F bought today still has years of supported service ahead.
Performance and interfaces are identical. The FortiGate 201F adds 1x 480 GB onboard SSD for local logging and reporting; the 200F has no onboard storage.
The FortiGate 200G is the current-generation equivalent: 6 Gbps of threat protection against 3 Gbps, 39 Gbps firewall against 27 Gbps, and 11 million concurrent sessions against 3 million. It runs current FortiOS with the same FortiGuard service catalog, so policies and subscriptions carry over, and FortiConverter can migrate the configuration.
Up to 64 FortiSwitches and 256 FortiAPs (128 in tunnel mode), using the two dedicated 10GE SFP+ FortiLink ports. That makes it a single point of management for a campus network without a separate wireless controller.
