The FortiWiFi 50G-DSL is a compact desktop next-generation firewall with a built-in VDSL2 / ADSL2+ DSL modem and an integrated Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) access point. Built on Fortinet's SP5 secure SD-WAN ASIC, it delivers 1.1 Gbps of threat protection, 5 Gbps firewall throughput, 720,000 concurrent sessions, and integrated SD-WAN. It connects directly to a DSL line with no external modem, so a small office, retail location, or branch on DSL broadband gets firewall, SD-WAN, and on-site Wi-Fi 6 from one appliance. A Gigabit RJ45 WAN port is also available for sites that later move to Ethernet or fiber.

Mount the FortiWiFi 50G-DSL on a desk, on a wall, in a rack tray, or on a DIN rail.
The FortiWiFi 50G-DSL is a current-generation ‘G’ series appliance, fully supported with active FortiGuard and FortiCare subscriptions. It is Fortinet’s desktop firewall with a built-in DSL modem and an integrated Wi-Fi 6 access point for branch and small-office sites.
The built-in modem supports VDSL2, ADSL2, ADSL2+, G.DMT, T1.413, and G.Lite (Annex A, B, I, J, M, L) over an RJ11 port, so it connects straight to a DSL line without a separate modem. A Gigabit RJ45 WAN port is also provided for Ethernet uplinks.
The security performance and the DSL modem are the same. The FortiWiFi 50G-DSL adds an integrated dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) access point with three antennas, so one unit handles firewall, SD-WAN, DSL WAN, and wireless. The FortiGate 50G-DSL is wired-only, with no Wi-Fi.
Most sites choose UTP for web, DNS, and video filtering on top of IPS and anti-malware. ATP covers core threat protection only. Enterprise adds the full SASE and security service set. Hardware-plus-bundle SKUs are listed below by term.
