The FortiGate 50G-SFP-PoE is a compact, fanless desktop next-generation firewall that adds 4x IEEE 802.3at PoE+ ports to the FortiGate 50G-SFP platform. Built on Fortinet’s FortiSP5 ASIC, it delivers 1.1 Gbps threat protection and 5 Gbps firewall throughput in a form factor that can power FortiAPs, VoIP phones, or IP cameras directly — eliminating a separate PoE switch for small deployments.
The WAN side provides both a standard GE RJ45 WAN port and a GE SFP slot, giving you flexibility for copper or fibre ISP handoffs. The PoE-capable WAN2 port can also be used as a secondary WAN for SD-WAN dual-WAN failover. A 54VDC power adapter supplies the higher current needed for the PoE budget alongside full NGFW processing.

Both models share the same FortiSP5 ASIC and deliver identical throughput (1.1 Gbps threat protection, 5 Gbps firewall). The 50G-SFP-PoE adds 4x IEEE 802.3at PoE+ ports and requires a 54VDC power adapter instead of the 12VDC one on the 50G-SFP.
